International Road Transport
Full and partial truckload transport to the Middle East, the Turkic republics and neighbouring countries.
View detailsUsing our lowbed and extendable trailer fleet, we transport construction machinery, transformers, generators and large industrial equipment safely with special highway permits, route surveys and escort coordination.
Over-dimensional transport is the movement of loads that exceed legal dimensional and weight limits on public roads using specialist equipment under official permits, rather than standard vehicles. Under Turkish regulations, any shipment that surpasses width, height or length limits, or whose axle loads exceed statutory thresholds, falls within this category. Construction machinery, high-voltage transformers, large generators, industrial tanks, wind turbine components and factory production equipment are among the most common load types.
At Çevikoğlu Lojistik, we conduct over-dimensional transport — which requires both technical and legal expertise — through engineering-backed route planning, comprehensive permit management and our experienced driver team. Every shipment presents its own unique challenge; we plan individually and keep risk as close to zero as possible.
Our standard lowbed trailers, with their low-floor design, allow height-sensitive equipment — particularly construction machinery and transformers — to be transported within legal height limits. Our hydraulic-ramp models facilitate loading of self-propelled units, while our platform extension attachments provide dimensional flexibility.
Our extendable trailer fleet, with its mechanically extendable structure both longitudinally and laterally, accommodates long loads that cannot fit on a standard vehicle — such as wind turbine blades, large steel beams and marine components. The appropriate trailer configuration is selected according to load type; any chassis extension or widening operations are completed before the convoy departs.
Construction machinery (excavators, bulldozers, graders, cranes); high-voltage and medium-voltage transformers; static and mobile generators; industrial storage tanks and pressure vessels; wind energy plant components; reactor and column equipment for petrochemical plants and refineries; and heavy machinery groups for factory installation are the principal load types our over-dimensional fleet handles.
We serve clients in the energy, construction, mining, petrochemical and defence sectors, producing load-specific securing and transport solutions with our team that is well versed in sector technical requirements. We understand that each sector has different regulations and safety standards, and we prepare equipment and operational plans accordingly.
A special transport permit application to the General Directorate of Highways is made for every over-dimensional shipment. The application presents the precise load dimensions, weight distribution, vehicle technical details and planned route. The approval process typically takes 3 to 7 business days, though this may vary depending on route and load characteristics. At Çevikoğlu Lojistik, we prepare these applications at the outset of the project, ensuring permits are in hand on the transport date.
Some shipments require separate approvals from more than one Regional Highway Directorate. We monitor regional boundaries along the route and, where multiple applications are needed, complete all permits in a coordinated manner. Since permit documents must be present on the vehicle, the original or notarised copy of every document is added to the shipment file.
The quality of securing for over-dimensional loads is of critical importance, both for cargo safety and the safety of other road users. A securing plan based on load mass, centre of gravity and fragility assessment is prepared for each load. Steel lashing chains, rubber protective pads, custom blocking chocks and vibration-absorbing damper systems are selected according to the load.
Loading is carried out under the supervision of an experienced team; the client's technical specialist may also be present on site during the loading process. Once loading is complete, the securing checklist is signed and documented photographically. This documentation constitutes strong evidence for both the insurer and the client against pre-delivery damage claims.
Experienced heavy haulage service offering specialist equipment, engineering surveys and permit expertise under one roof.
From standard lowbeds to extendable trailers, hydraulic ramps to modular platforms, our wide range of vehicles delivers solutions for every load type.
We carry out bridge capacity, tunnel clearance and overpass measurements on site, making every route safe before transport begins.
We complete highway applications and multi-regional approvals before the transport date, reducing delay risk to zero.
A securing plan based on load centre of gravity, combined with photographic documentation, guarantees both cargo and traffic safety.
On mandatory night-transit routes, we operate fully equipped with escort vehicles, lighting and communications infrastructure.
All over-dimensional shipments are covered by comprehensive cargo insurance; loading and delivery documents are maintained in full.
We receive the load dimensions and weight, then conduct a preliminary analysis for vehicle configuration and route survey.
We initiate highway permits, complete the field route measurement and establish the escort plan.
We carry out loading and securing under technical supervision and track convoy movement in real time.
We deliver the load intact at the destination and close the process with a delivery record and photographic documentation.
We are with you in over-dimensional transport from route survey to on-site delivery. Get in touch now and let us define the load-specific solution together.
