The most significant environmental impact of road transport is fuel consumption and the associated carbon emissions. For this reason, we take care to build our fleet from vehicles with high fuel efficiency and compliance with current emission standards, keeping them in their most efficient operating range through regular maintenance programmes.

Fuel Efficiency and Emission Reduction

We regularly inform our drivers on economical and safe driving techniques. Practices such as reducing unnecessary idling time, maintaining correct tyre pressure and using gears properly noticeably reduce both fuel consumption and greenhouse gas emissions. In our vehicle renewal plans, we prioritise fuel efficiency and low-emission criteria.

Optimum Route Planning

We plan every shipment via the shortest and most suitable route, reducing the distance covered and empty-return kilometres. Through load consolidation and groupage transport, we carry more cargo per vehicle and lower the environmental impact per shipment. Intelligent planning is one of our most effective tools for simultaneously reducing both cost and carbon footprint.

Digitalisation and Resource Efficiency

We reduce paper use and administrative resource consumption through digital documentation, electronic tracking and reporting processes. By regularly monitoring operational data, we identify areas for improvement and continuously develop our sustainability performance. For us, sustainability is not a static target but a living process we measure, review and advance step by step.

Fleet Renewal and Emission Standards

A modern, well-maintained fleet lies at the foundation of our environmental performance. In our vehicle renewal plans, we favour tractors and trailers that comply with current Euro emission standards and have low fuel consumption. Periodic maintenance, engine tuning, tyre pressure monitoring and aerodynamic modifications both increase fuel efficiency and reduce exhaust emissions. By keeping the average fleet age low, we minimise breakdown-related delays and unnecessary emissions — an approach that simultaneously improves both environmental impact and operational costs.

Employee Well-being and Road Safety

Sustainability has not only an environmental but also a social dimension. We plan the working and rest hours of our drivers in accordance with regulations, reducing fatigue-related risks. Regular safe-driving training, the maintenance discipline applied to our vehicles and compliance with speed limits both enhance road safety and reduce fuel consumption. We prioritise the occupational health and safety of our employees and embrace the safety of the cargo we carry and of other road users as a corporate responsibility.

Responsible Collaboration in the Supply Chain

We do not limit our sustainability approach to our own operations; we share it with the customers and business partners we work with. By offering our customers recommendations on load consolidation, full-vehicle planning and proper packaging, we jointly reduce the environmental impact per shipment. We implement waste management, recycling and energy-saving practices at our facilities and aim to spread sustainable logistics throughout the entire value chain.

Our Continuous Improvement Approach

We regularly evaluate our sustainability performance against indicators such as fuel consumption, distance covered and empty-return rate. We interpret the data obtained to set improvement targets, and we measure the outcome of actions taken to update our approach. In this way, sustainability becomes not a promise that remains on paper but an actionable management discipline we factor into every trip plan.
