Georgia Logistics and Transport Services
Regular TIR departures from Turkey to Georgia via the Sarp and Türkgözü border gates; end-to-end transport to Tbilisi, Batumi and Kutaisi with full-load, groupage and refrigerated solutions.
Road Transport to Georgia
Georgia is the most critical transit crossing point between Turkey and the Caucasus and Central Asia. Road transport to this country, which acts as a bridge to both the Azerbaijani and Central Asian markets by virtue of its geographical position, has grown markedly in recent years. From our İskenderun base, Çevikoğlu Lojistik operates regular TIR services to Georgia, carrying full and groupage loads to industrial and commercial centres such as Tbilisi, Batumi, Kutaisi and Rustavi.
Two main border gates are used for our shipments to Georgia. The Sarp border gate on the Black Sea coast connects to Turkey's Artvin province and the greater part of the route runs via the D010 highway. When the Eastern Anatolia corridor is preferred, we pass through the Türkgözü border gate, which connects to Ardahan, and reach the interior of Georgia. We determine the most appropriate route together with our customers based on border congestion and cargo type, completing delivery in an average of 2–3 days.
Regions We Serve in Georgia
The capital Tbilisi is Georgia's economic and industrial centre; the vast majority of loads entering the country are delivered in this city or distributed from here to the interior. Batumi on the Black Sea coast is both a port city and a strategic transhipment point that hosts a free trade zone; sea–road combined transport is also possible via Batumi port. The industrial facilities in Kutaisi, the country's second-largest city, and the iron-steel production capacity in Rustavi provide regular cargo flows. In addition to these centres, we also carry full and groupage shipments to the provinces of Gori and Zugdidi.
Key Cargo Groups We Carry
On the Georgia route we most frequently carry construction materials (steel profiles, pipes, ceramics, construction chemicals), food products (dried goods, canned goods, vegetable oil), automotive parts and consumer goods. Georgia's active construction sector keeps demand for construction raw materials high. Cold-chain loads such as fresh fruit and vegetables, dairy products and pharmaceuticals are also transported safely in our refrigerated vehicles. For return loads we bring hazelnuts, tea, mineral water and agricultural products from Georgia to Turkey.
Gateway to the Caucasus and Central Asia
Georgia's strategic importance is not limited to the local market; routes passing through Georgia are also used to reach Azerbaijan and Central Asian countries. The route from Tbilisi to the Red Bridge border gate is the main road connection to Azerbaijan. Taking advantage of this transit function, we also create combined transport plans that use Georgia as an intermediate transhipment point. We enable our customers to manage their regional supply chains under a single operational umbrella.
Full-Load and Groupage Solutions
For high-volume consignments, full-load (FTL) transport is preferred where the vehicle is allocated entirely to a single customer; the cargo reaches the destination address in Tbilisi or Batumi without any transhipment. Smaller-volume loads or groupage (LTL) loads collected from different points are consolidated together, providing a cost advantage while maintaining the regular departure schedule. In both options, the vehicle tracking system monitors the real-time position of the load and daily updates are provided to the customer.
Customs and Documentation Support
Between Turkey and Georgia, the TIR carnet and CMR bill of lading are the core documents. Complete preparation of the invoice, packing list and certificate of origin for Georgian customs is critically important for smooth border crossings. Our contracted customs consultants complete all documentation processes before the loading stage; advance system registrations are made to minimise waiting times at the Sarp or Türkgözü border gates. All shipments are CMR-insured.
Transit Times and Departure Frequency on the Georgia Route
The average transport time from our İskenderun base to Tbilisi is 2–3 days; when using the Sarp corridor to Batumi this time can fall to 2 days. The Türkgözü corridor is preferred for loadings in eastern Turkey and offers a similar transit time. Thanks to our regular weekly departures, full loads set off quickly without waiting; groupage loads are included in the weekly consolidation plan. Departure frequency is updated according to demand, and special departures can be arranged for urgent delivery needs.
