What Is International Road Freight?

International road freight is the movement of goods across national borders by TIR trucks and tractor-trailer combinations. Operating from our hub in İskenderun, Çevikoğlu Lojistik delivers export cargo from Turkish industrial zones to trade centres across the Middle East, Gulf and Turkic republics, and brings import cargo door-to-door into Türkiye. Our proximity to the ports of İskenderun and Mersin gives us a decisive speed advantage for the inland leg of container shipments arriving by sea.

Every shipment is managed under four pillars: selecting the right vehicle type, optimising the route, preparing complete customs documentation, and continuous tracking. Our goal is not merely to move cargo but to deliver an integrated international logistics service that optimises transit time, cost and risk simultaneously.

Regular TIR Services to the Middle East and Turkic Republics

We operate regular services to the leading trade centres of the Middle East, Gulf and Turkic republics, including Iraq, Syria, Saudi Arabia, UAE and Azerbaijan. Cargo reaches Iraq via the Habur (Silopi) border gate, Syria via Cilvegözü, and Iran via Gürbulak and قابي قولة. Gulf countries are served by RoRo-road combinations, while Turkic republics are served via Iran transit and Caspian ferry corridors.

Our services to neighbouring countries such as Syria, Iraq, Iran, Georgia and Azerbaijan provide the flexible, fast connectivity that regional trade demands. Routes are planned with close attention to border gate congestion, seasonal conditions and driving-rest regulations to minimise the risk of delay.

Full-Truck (FTL) and Part-Load (LTL) Solutions

We offer two core models to suit your needs. In full-truck (FTL) shipping, the vehicle is dedicated entirely to your cargo and moves direct from loading point to delivery address without transhipment — ideal for full loads and time-sensitive shipments. In part-load (LTL) shipping, cargo from multiple customers is consolidated in the same vehicle and you pay only for the space your goods occupy — an economical solution for smaller, regular or budget-focused shipments.

Fleet and Cargo Types

Curtainsider trailers handle general cargo, palletised goods and machinery; reefer vehicles handle temperature-controlled food, beverage and pharmaceutical loads; lowbed and specialist equipment handles heavy and out-of-gauge machinery. Our ADR-certified drivers and compliant equipment carry a wide range of hazardous goods classes in full regulatory compliance. All vehicles undergo regular maintenance and are covered by international cargo insurance.

Customs and Documentation Management

Customs and documentation are the most critical link in international transport. We prepare all required paperwork — CMR consignment note, TIR Carnet, T1 transit declaration, certificate of origin, commercial invoice and packing list — in full coordination with our partner customs brokers. Pre-loading document checks eliminate the risk of border delays and fines. We manage export and import customs procedures end-to-end and keep you informed at every stage.
