Azerbaijan Logistics and Transport Services

Regular TIR departures from Turkey to Azerbaijan via Georgia on the Red Bridge corridor; reliable transport to Baku, Ganja and Sumqayit with full and groupage loads.

Road Transport to Azerbaijan

The deep fraternal bond between Turkey and Azerbaijan also strengthens commercial ties. Road transport between the two countries is carried out via the Georgia transit corridor: entry into Georgia is made through the Sarp border gate and then into Azerbaijani territory via the Red Bridge (Kırmızı Körpü) crossing. From our İskenderun base, Çevikoğlu Lojistik operates regular TIR services to Azerbaijan, carrying cargo to all major centres including the capital Baku, Ganja and the industrial city of Sumqayit.

The route begins at the Sarp border gate, which connects to Turkey's Artvin province; beyond Georgia's Batumi and Tbilisi cities the route reaches Red Bridge. After crossing into Azerbaijan, the main highway via Ganja to Baku is used. Depending on possible border waiting times in Georgia, the total transit time averages 4–6 days.

Regions We Serve in Azerbaijan

Baku, the capital and largest city of Azerbaijan, is the centre of the country's trade and industry. Baku port on the Caspian Sea is also used for sea–road combined transport. Ganja is an important industrial and commercial city in western Azerbaijan; TIR trucks from Turkey enter through Red Bridge and reach Baku via Ganja. Sumqayit, 30 km north of Baku, stands out as an industrial centre with petrochemical and iron-steel plants. In addition, we make regular shipments to the provinces of Mingachevir and Shirvan.

Key Cargo Groups We Carry

On the Azerbaijan route, industrial equipment for the oil and gas sector, steel fittings and mechanical parts for pipelines occupy an important share. Ceramics, cement, construction chemicals and steel profiles for the country's rapidly growing construction sector are also among loads we carry frequently. Food products (flour, sugar, vegetable oil, canned goods), consumer goods and textiles are regular export items. We provide appropriate equipment — standard curtainsider trailers and refrigerated vehicles — for every type of cargo.

Logistics Advantage in Fraternal Trade

Preferential trade arrangements between Turkey and Azerbaijan, together with a common language base, are important elements that facilitate logistics operations. The year-on-year growth in trade volume between the two countries brings increasing departure capacity on the Azerbaijan route. Taking into account Azerbaijan's gateway role to Kazakhstan and Central Asia within the Middle Corridor (Trans-Caspian International Transport Route), we can also offer our customers regional transport plans.

Full-Load and Groupage Solutions

For shipments to Azerbaijan, the full-load (FTL) option is preferred especially for oil-gas equipment and project cargo; the load reaches its destination in Baku or Sumqayit directly without any transhipment. For smaller volumes or shipments requiring multi-point delivery, our groupage (LTL) option is available; loads are consolidated under the weekly consolidation plan, providing a cost advantage. The vehicle tracking system is active in both models.

Customs and Documentation Support

For Turkey–Azerbaijan transport, the TIR carnet, CMR and Georgian transit document form the core document group. Additional documents such as invoices, packing lists and, where necessary, phytosanitary certificates or analysis reports for Azerbaijani customs are also prepared in advance. Since separate declaration procedures may apply at each border gate on this route passing through three countries, our experienced customs consultants who follow the entire customs process in an integrated manner provide a great advantage. All shipments are insured.

Transit Times and Departure Frequency on the Azerbaijan Route

The average transit time from our İskenderun base to Baku is 4–6 days; delivery to cities along the route such as Ganja may be one day shorter. Since congestion at Georgian borders can vary seasonally, we prepare our planning with these variables in mind and share a realistic delivery schedule. Thanks to our regular weekly departures, full loads set off without waiting; groupage loads are included in the weekly consolidation and depart on specific days of the week.
